Resting between the Langeberg Mountains and the N2 highway, approximately 240km from both Cape Town and George, Swellendam is the perfect choice for a halfway stopover and as a base from which to explore the area, with great day excursions safaris and tours to Robertson.

The double or triple en-suite rooms are large, spacious and airy. There is a dorm room and four double wooden cabins in the large tree covered garden to choose from. Swellendam Backpackers also has Camping on offer if you would prefer to make use of your own tent, there is a camping area so large you may need a map or GPS to find your way around.

Swellendam Backpackers is within easy walking distance of the local shops, banks and a variety of Swellendam Restaurants or you can make use of one of the Mountain Bikes for hire.
